Solotic Helmet

The totally unique SOLOtic helmet combines full head and face protection with respiratory protection, "hands free" communication and "hands free" vision.

You can identify objects through even the densest smoke by means of a fully integrated thermal imaging camera, which displays the image inside the face mask by augmented reality viewing optics. The ergonomics design gives clean lines to the outside of the helmet leaving nothing protruding which could catch on hanging debris in a fire situation.

- Padded ear protectors provide additional insulation to enhance radio communication and

  absorb side impacts.

- Images are picked up through the centrally mounted camera.

- Thermal images are displayed to the wearer through the augmented viewing lenses.

- Glass fibre/kevlar^@ shell bonded with Class 1 fire retardant resin and Class 1 Gelcoat will

  withstand a flashover of over 1000^oC for 10 seconds.

- Suitable for use with all known breathing apparatus.

- Intelligent Battery : Nickel metal hydride battery with integrated electronics which allows the

  battery to self-protect via thermistors and self-resetable current overload fuse.

- Sensor : Centrally Mounted Micro Bolometer Sensor.

- Viewing Optics : Augmented Reality Viewing optics mounted inside the camera shell. Twin

  LCDs (180,000 pixels) and prismatic optics giving an indirect virtual image approaching

  infinity obviating need for sight correction aids.
